Nigerian man allegedly kills a Chinese national in Italy – This happened after the Nigerian man by name, Robert Omo was deported from Malta after being found, abusing a horse.
According to the Times of Malta, Omo allegedly bludgeoned the Chinese man to death using a hammer. He was also reported to have left a Bulgarian man with injuries during the attack.
He was charged in Avellino court last week and he pleaded, not guilty, claiming he didn’t recall what happened during the incident.
The Italian news has reported that Omo was unprovoked when he attacked the two men on July 30. He first stroke the Bulgarian man from behind and then attacked the Chinese man who tried to intervene.
According to report, the Bulgarian man is still in the hospital with serious injuries while the Chinese man died as a result of the attack.
Omo was deported to Italy after he was caught inside a Xewkija stable with his trousers down, standing behind a horse. Video footage showed him chasing the horse around the stables, kicking and hitting it.
He told the Maltese court that he was drunk and was looking for his mobile phone on the ground. However, the magistrate court found him guilty of animal cruelty and in November 2020, he was jailed for 12 months.
He was deported to Italy after he had served his prison terms in Malta. Italian news reported that he was living in a care home in Avellino but had been expelled after he assaulted a worker there.
