Many feared dead as a heavy explosion hits Kabul mosque in Afghanistan.
The explosion occurred during evening prayers on Wednesday August 17, in a mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan.
Afghan police disclosed that there were multiple casualties. A Taliban intelligence official also said that as many as 35 people may have been wounded or killed, and the count could still rise.
Khalid Zadran, Kabul police spokesman told Reuters,
“A blast happened inside a mosque… the blast has casualties but the numbers are not yet clear”.
The publication stated that the Imam was among those who died as a result of the incident.
Intelligence teams were at the location and are currently, carrying out investigations.
